Education
Honours undergraduate degree in International Relations from DCU - Grade 2.1 Extending across a multitude of subjects including International Law, Political Economy and American Political Systems, this course of study equipped me to engage and analyse a situation from an holistic stand point rather than focusing on a single element. Masters in Public Health from UCD - Grade 2.1 Subjects covered in the MPH included Public Health Policy, International Health, Biostats, Epidemiology, Infectious disease and control. I have worked in infectious disease surveillance prior to returning to education and have significant experience in tutoring across public health subjects. Masters in Biomedical Diagnostics from DCU - Grade 2.1 Subjects covered in the MBD include Immunology, Nanotechnology, Innovation and design and Genetics. This course forced me to engage in a manner of thinking that I had not previously, taking on engineering principles and focusing on the specific relationships in multidisciplinary scientific practice. Undergraduate Medicine degree - Ongoing Subjects covered include Biochemistry, Anatomy (Theory and gross), Pharmacology, Public Health, Microbiology, Histology and many others.
Experience
I have ample experience working with students both in person and via different online platforms over the past 5 years. Due to my varied educational background, I have had students across a multitude of different fields and each has thrived under my tutelage. In addition to my educational background, I also teach first aid to my own cadet division through a voluntary healthcare organisation, a role I have held for 4 years. I worked in infectious disease surveillance in a national organisation for just under 18 months before returning to pursue further education. I have significant experience in scientific writing for government and publication areas. I genuinely enjoy tutoring and there is nothing more satisfying to see than when I student who struggled with a concept finally understands it.
